The teen web series based on the best selling novel by Jay Asher named as “13 Reasons Why” will be revived for the third season somewhere at the second half this year. The Netflix Original was released on March 31, 2017 for the first season and second one was released on May 18 2018. The series received critically positive reviews regarding the story, object matter and performances of the actors.

The series follows a devastating High School life of teenage girl Hannah Baker and hereafter the character tragically commits suicide. Another protagonist of the series is a teenage boy named Clay Jensen who discovers the mysterious box of cassettes that leads to the detailed liability of Hannah lethal suicidal act. Sexual assault and folklore of gossip wreaked Hannah to take such step. Tapes stretches out the 13 reasons why she had suicide.
In second season who were aware about the woe of Hannah enmeshed in legal battle with Hannah’s parents and High School. Clay endeavors to expose the nefarious culture of school as he himself thinks to be responsible for Hannah’s death as she was his unrequited love. The case has been moved to court and various character testifies regarding the case. The last episode has left viewers in cliffhanger.

The first season received conclusive reviews regarding the storyline and depiction of matter. The first season became way popular being the second most viewed series in Netflix. Rotten Tomatoes critical consensus writes, “13 Reasons Why complements its bestselling source material with a gripping look at adolescent grief whose narrative maturity belies its YA milieu.” The second season received few negative reviews stating dubious and phony story.
Washington Post television critic Hank Stuever wrote a negative review, “There are 13 episodes lasting 13 super-sullen hours – a passive-aggressive, implausibly meandering, poorly written and awkwardly acted effort that is mainly about miscommunication, delivering no more wisdom or insight about depression, bullying and suicide than one of those old ABC Afterschool Specials people now mock for being so corny.”
Even its graphic illustrations of suicide and rape related imagery fetched the disappointment towards mental health specialist. Equally stunning and disastrous story that is tenacious to watch but everyone will love due to outstanding acting and plot.
The hard hitting series is everyone favorite and all will love to see Dylan and Katherine reprising their best roles in their career for third season. The mind boggling series is likely to drop in July 2019 after official announcement was made on April 16.
