It is now confirmed that James Gunn will bring the Adam Warlock character of Marvel’s comics in the Guardians of Galaxy’s franchise.

Adam Warlock is a fictional character appears in American Comic books which are published by Marvel Comics. He is originally known as Adam or Him. This character was created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee and was developed by Roy Thomas and Jim Starlin.
In the comics, Adam Warlock is a super being who is fast, strong and durable. He does not require to drink or eat. He can fly and can continuously heal himself in a cocoon that’s why Adam is a functionally immortal. There were preliminary plans to add the Warlock to Avengers: Infinity War but the character was snipped from it.
Adam Warlock has long been rumoured to make MCU debut in Guardians of Galaxy 3 after he was teased at the end of Guardians of Galaxy 2. And although some of the fans were expecting it has been confirmed by Director James Gunn that he will introduce him as a villain in galaxy vol. 3.
How director James Gunn will bring the Adam Warlock in the Guardians of Galaxy 3?
Adam warlock’s famous weird looking cocoon has made it easy for the director to make a way for him into the movie through the Easter Egg at the end of Guardians of Galaxy 2.
It was revealed in Guardians of Galaxy 2’s post credits scene when Ayesha revealed that she was using a cocoon to progress the Sovereign race. And the end credit scene insinuated that she was intending to destroy the Guardians with the help of Adam.
In fact, Director James Gunn has already stated that he originally intended to include the Adam Warlock in Guardians of Galaxy vol. 2 but later changed his mind saying Adam Warlock is too big of a character and he needs a proper introduction in the Franchise.
So as for his appreance in MCU, Adam Warlock will be seen in Guardians of Galaxy 3 but the question is whether he would be a good guy or a bad guy. James Gunn could make his character arc just like Nebula’s where in the first movie she sided with Thanos. But later in her subsequent appearance she changed sided and became a good guy (kind of). However, these are just speculation and we are waiting for James Gunn to officially release some more information about the movie in the upcoming months.
