Sony’s game movie ‘Uncharted’ Starring Tom Holland To Hit Theatres 12/20

Finally, after long periods of confusion and setbacks, Sony has finally declared the release of the awaited video game movie Uncharted starring Tom Holland – Dec 18, 2020.

The film will feature the ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ actor as a younger version of fortune hunter Nathan Drake, the lead character of the video game. And we all know it’s going to be the best video game movie made ever; Tom has that charm.

Uncharted was in talks of a movie adaptation since 2008 with Sony. In 2010, it was announced by Doug Belgrad and Matt Tolmach, co-presidents of Columbia Pictures, that David O. Russell had been set to write and direct the film, an action-adventure based upon the first game in the series. However, in 2011, David had reportedly dropped the film and a new screenwriter and director were in search.

Since then a series of changes in directors and cast followed with no fix focal point and it continued till 2017 when the script of the film was completed and Tom Holland was finalized for the main role.

Though the game doesn’t lack much in thrill and adventure, we expect the same powerful performance by Tom in the upcoming movies.
