Millie shared her grandmother’s painful experience with the disease and explained how it had affected her. Millie helped spread awareness about dementia through her post.

The fifteen year old, who stars as Eleven on Stranger Things, has had supportive messages from fans for her post. “I’m so lucky to have some powerful, ambitious, and loving women in my life that teach everything I need to know and what I deserve as a young woman,’ she wrote.
“Dementia is one of the worst and scariest things in the world and seeing my grandmother go through this is heartbreaking but reminding her who I am and all of our memories makes me smile but most of all, nanny.”
