Leonardo DiCaprio has long been a passionate environmental activist. Besides his Oscar-winning movies, the actor has contributed to the protection of the environment. He has spoken out against climate change and its devastating effects on the planet. Ice on Fire is his new climate change documentary out on HBO.

This is Leonardo DiCaprio’s second documentary of climate change. The documentary sheds a light on the plight of the polar bears and Arctic ice caps due to global warming. DiCaprio talks about the possible solutions to this climate change crisis throughout the length of this film.
It appears that Leonardo DiCaprio’s father is equally as invested in climate change as his son. The duo produced the documentary together.

DiCaprio attended the premiere of his HBO documentary alongside his father. They were both very pleased with their efforts. They, however, did not pose alongside each other at the premiere.
The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation is committed to the cause of protecting the environment. DiCaprio works wholeheartedly with his organisation to combat the climate change. In Sept 2017, he expressed his intention to donate $20 million. His foundation would utilise the money to battle climate change.
“We are proud to support the work of over 100 organizations at home and abroad. These grantees are active on the ground, protecting our oceans, forests and endangered species for future generations – and tackling the urgent, existential challenges of climate change.” The actor had previously commented on his efforts for the cause of the environment.
In his Ice on Fire documentary, Leonardo DiCaprio commented on this burning crisis. “Climate change has changed life on Earth as we know it…The impact of our actions is starting to hit home. Scientists’ predictions are now coming true sooner than expected.”
In 2016, Leonardo DiCaprio had put out another documentary called “Beyond the Flood.” He had visited 5 continents for the purpose. The actors work towards climate change has so far been commendable.
