The iconic video game Prince of Persia will be back soon. After the latest release of Prince of Persia: Escape in 2018, the creator isn’t ready to give up the Prince of Persia franchise. Creator suggests a reboot of the original game Prince of Persia.
Prince of Persia is a video game which was released in October 1989. The game gained a lot of fame during that time. The developers decided to make a series of this game. Overall, video games have been released under the Prince of Persia franchise. Meanwhile, the game has had different developers and publishers. The latest game of Prince of Persia was Prince of Persia: Escape released in 2018.
Jordan Mechner, the creator behind the epic game Prince of Persia, recently announced the release of a book named “ The Making Of Prince Of Persia.” National Museum of Play in New York is helping him on this project. The book will be about the making of the first game “ Prince of Persia,” which was released in 1989 and will be published by Strip press. “The Making of Prince of Persia” will release next year on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the game.
Mechner also hopes that the game will be revived soon. He wishes to make a reboot of the original game Prince of Persia.
For now, Ubisoft Montreal, who will release the Prince of Persia, says the series is still on hold. Mechner worked with Ubisoft in 2003 during the release of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The game got rebooted again in 2008. Then again for the third time with The Forgotten Sands in 2010. Thus, there were numerous attempts at rebuilding the Prince of Persia.
As of now, Ubisoft has yet to announce regarding the release officially. However, Mechner can change their mind, and we can expect the new Prince of Persia soon.
