Director Matthew Vaughn has stated that Kingsman 3 rumored to be titled ‘The Great Game’ will be the last hurrah for lead characters Eggsy Unwin and Harry Hart and that the film will commence shooting right after post-production concludes on the 2020s The Kingsman, a prequel to the franchise.
The sequel to 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the film was originally slated to begin principal photography at the start of this year and release sometime around Thanksgiving, though Vaughn decided against the idea and convinced executives at Fox Studios to allow the franchise’s concluding chapter to remain in pre-production until shooting wrapped on The Kingsman.

Kingsman 3 will, of course, mark the returns of stars Taron Egerton and Academy Award-winner Colin Firth, whilst Halle Berry, Channing Tatum and Jeff Bridges too are expected to make guest appearances like they did in the previous installment.
Though Vaughn has clarified that Kingsman 3 will cap-off the stories of its protagonists, it remains unclear whether his script for the upcoming sequel will follow the source material’s plot points down to the tee, and if the foundations for the long-rumored crossover with the Kick-Ass franchise will be laid herein.

Of course, much of the speculation will also be cast aside once the prequel releases and clears our doubts about the franchise’s future direction.
Deriving significant inspiration from the original comic by Mark Millar, The Kingsman will serve as a prequel to the first two Kingsman films and star Harris Dickinson as the protagonist. While a spate of actors has been recruited to portray some of the most recognizable figures of 20th-century diplomacy, including Ralph Fiennes as T.E. Lawrence, Liam Neeson as Herbert Kitchener, Daniel Bruhl as Felix Yusupov, and Rhys Ifans as controversial faith-healer Grigori Rasputin, among others.
The Kingsman 3 The Great Game is set to release next year on Valentine’s Day in 2020.
