It is officially announced famous Singer Actress Halle Bailey will play the role of Ariel. Ariel is the rebellious daughter of the King Triton, and King Triton lives on dry land.

Production of upcoming “The Little Mermaid” will start in 2020 and Melissa McCarthy has already been reported to play the character of villain Ursula.
Halle Bailey has become Disney Princess along with being the second black actress after Brandy who played the Cinderella in 1997.
Halle is well known for her duets with older sister Chloe. They both are recognized as “Best New Artists” and “The Kids are Alright.”
Halle became famous for her acting skills after she appeared in Latifah’s comedy in 2017.
