#dumbstarbucks or #boycottbuck is a very trending hashtag campaign on twitter nowadays. Starbucks is an American coffee company and coffee house formed in 1971. Now it is located in more than 30,000 locations all over the world. It is a brand from where you all love to drink, but why everyone is boycotting it?
Why is everyone against star bucks?
In the Coffee house of Star bucks in Phoenix, a suburb of Tempe the employ of star bucks asked police officers to move either to another place or to another spot. As per the sources at the coffee house, the 6 officers were stopped by to take some beverages. They were standing there while waiting for their duty when the employee did so.
What made the employee to do this?
The employ asked them to move as one of the customers there asked him to do so. The customer reported his uneasiness due to the appearance of the officers. He said that he felt uncomfortable around all the officers standing and talking.
On this request as the employees are instructed to help their customers in the best possible way, so he asked them in a very polite way. He asked them by telling him the whole situation that the customers are not feeling well, and it is a request from their side.
The officers themselves didn’t make any scene and moved out in an understanding manner. Nobody thought that news with gain so much attention and would make it all related to priorities. Many people commented that the employees must have explained to the customer that there is n0othing to worry about they are just here for coffee. They are customers, too plus people who serve all day and night for our safety.
It is really bad that people don’t understand this basic thing that officers are also humans and thus deserves some personal life. We can’t judge them like this. On this whole situation, many people started the campaign to aware of everyone. This seems to be against star bucks more than the customer.
What did actions star bucks take?
The association president Rob Ferrare apologized the officers personally for the behavior and confirmed that this whole situation was wrong.
The vice president Rossann William also apologized the officers officially. On the 4th of July, this treatment to the police officers does show how people react towards officers. She said “When those officers entered the store, and a customer raised concern over their presence, they should have been welcomed and treated with dignity and the utmost respect by our partners (employees),” Williams said in a statement. “Instead, they were made to feel unwelcome and disrespected, which is completely unacceptable.”
Dumbing star bucks is all your choice, but one must consider their behavior towards our saviors before blaming others.
According to me, the whole situation could be stopped by the people there if they took action at that time only.
