Deadpool’s director, David Leitch, Reacted to Marvel Phase 4 Announcements; talks about Deadpool’s future

San Diego Comic-Con 2019 just happened and there’s no doubt Marvel wouldn’t show up. The breathtaking Studious did show up, rocked the Hall H and announced the list of future projects that are surely making us anticipate.

The announcements were fantastic, but one thing was missing, and fans wouldn’t let go unnoticed- the future of X-Men and the future of mercenary with the never-stopping mouth. Yeah, the same Red-Christmas pants fighting super-freaking-hero, Deadpool. After the Disney purchased Fox, the development of movies comes in hand of the Disney and looks like we might not be seeing X-Men trainee anytime soon.

Uproxx recently reached out to David Leitch about Deadpool future and he quoted that he doesn’t know anything and he is just giving everyone time to think and have patience after all. The director is currently busy promoting his new film Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw but he said, “I know Marvel announced their slate and I think people were like, ‘Deadpool’s not on it. I would never say never. And I think he’s such a beloved character and it’s such a compelling world people want to go back. And I assume they’re going to notice some way to do it. But I’m just being patient and let everyone take a breath and see however it works for them within the new, Disney world. And, hopefully, I’ll get the call. And that would be cool.”

Kevin Feige, the main man said its too early to discuss anything about X-Men and things. But David Leitch said he loved to work with Ryan and Deadpool and he is crossing his fingers to bring another installment.

Marvel announced the following movies and series for the upcoming two years:
Black Widow (May 1, 2020)
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (Fall of 2020)
The Eternals (November 6, 2020)
Shang Chi And The Legends Of Ten Rings (February 12, 2021)
WandaVision (Spring 2021)
Loki (Spring 2021)
Doctor Strange: Multiverse Of Madness (May 7, 2021)
