Keanu was asked about what Superhero character from Marvel or DC he would like to reminisce, and the 54-year-old promptly replied that his favorite character has always been Wolverine. Reeves said-
“When I was a kid, I always wanted to play Wolverine. So, Wolverine.”
After that, The internet is going gaga over how perfect Keanu would look if he were to play the Wolverine. The perfect news of hour is that Marvel is looking out to reboot the character of wolverine after Disney has purchased the Fox Studio.
Hugh Jackman has been the iconic face of wolverine as a mutant superhero. Logan was probably the movie has left fans disheartened to witness an older version of wolverine who was not able to use full of his healing powers. This was the right time for Marvel to come up with a crisp reboot to the role. As now they are searching for a new Actor who would fit in for the role, Keanu’s interview has led to presumptions about him being cast for the same.
The Marvel Studio Head, Kevin Feige confirmed that he tried to reach out to Keanu for a role. Of course, Fiege did not specify the details about what character Keanu would be seen as, but this hint was totally a dash of sprinklers on a cupcake. The studio head in his talk with Comicbook.com clearly mentioned that he wishes Keanu to play a role in The Marvel Universe. He said-
“We talk to him about every film we make. We talk to Keanu Reeves about. I don’t know when, If, or even he’ll join the mcu, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it”
