Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter have seemingly broken up. The couple got married almost a year ago in a big wedding in Indonesia. The couple was together since 2014 before Jenner proposed in 2016. According to many sources, Kaitlynn has been said to move out of the house already.
Brody and Kaitlynn were the stars of MTV’s The Hills: New Beginnings which follows the personal and professional lives of its cast while living in Los Angeles.
While being on the show also fanned a growing tension among the celebrity duo.
“It got so bad that Kaitlynn had actually moved out before they started filming, but then moved back in. Doing The Hills magnified a lot of things in their marriage. And it became clear that it wasn’t going to work. They both knew it.” People reported.
Representatives of the couple released a statement which read, “Brody Jenner & Kaitlynn Carter have decided to amicably separate,” “They love and respect one another, and know that this is the best decision for their relationship moving forward.” it continued.
It also seems that Brody has already started to embrace his bachelor life as he was photographed enjoying drinks with his friends without his wedding ring.
But what makes this split more interesting is that it is being speculated that the couple may never hab been legally married in the first place. As one source pointed out, “They never did it in the U.S., so it wasn’t legal. But they had a wedding in Indonesia,”
According to reports by TMZ, Kaitlynn wanted to start a family and have a baby with Brody and also a legal marriage; but Brody didn’t want either. This may also be a contributing factor in the couples split.
Another report points out that when the Woolsey Fire threatened to burn their home, Brody refused to leave the premises while Kaitlynn sought refuge with her relatives.
