Kanye West is the King of Shocks. Over the years, the self-proclaimed “No.1 rockstar on the planet” has done many things that have made the public angry, confused, and question his thought process.
The rapper and designer has been embroiled in many controversies; like the time when he interrupted Taylor Swift at the VMA’s or his music video “Famous” or when he wore a MAGA hat in support of President Trump. But recently, West is in the news not because of any controversy but because he has seemingly found faith.
While hosting the show, “Queen Radio” on Apple Music, fellow rapper Nicki Minaj told her special guest Chance The Rapper that Kanye is now a born-again Christian. According to Nicki, Kanye turned to God after he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016.
Minaj announced this while she and her guest were discussing faith in the entertainment industry.
“Sometimes in the music business, we think that other artists don’t believe in God or aren’t spiritual as we are…then when you find people, because I was just with Kanye, and he told me he’s a born-again Christian now. Like my first instinct was, ‘I’m so proud of you,’ because I could see there’s a peace that he has now that just surpasses everything.” said the female rapper.
West has also been hosting weekly services dubbed as “Sunday Service.” While the service seems to be at an invite-only stage, there is a possibility that it could open up to a larger public. According to sources, the attendees must sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement), which makes it hard to obtain more information about the services.

Apart from the West, Kardashian and Jenner families, many notable faces such as Kid Cudi, DMX, Verdine White have attended the services. Tyler the Creator, Courtney Love, Katy Perry, and Orlando Bloom were seen at Kanye’s service as well.
