Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, most popularly known as Cardi B is an American rapper who is soon going to make her debut in the silver screen.
In March 2019, it was announced that she would make her debut in film in Hustler. Lorene Scafaria directs the movie. Another cast revealed for the movie was Jenifer Lopez and Constance Wu. The movie is scheduled to be released on September 13, 2019.
Asked about her role in the movie, she opened up recently. She will be performing the role of a stripper named Diamond. The film is a crime comedy based upon the article ‘The Hustlers at Scores’ by Jessica Pressler.
This year has been lucky for the rapper, songwriter and television personality as she had 21 nominations at 2019 Billboard. This is the most nominations in a single year ever by a woman. The record also made her the third most nominated artist in terms of nominations. Other two to nominated were Drake and The Chainsmokers had 22 nominations each.
Apart from her success, she also won the heart of her fans when she dealt with her wardrobe malfunction during her performance. She was performing at the Bonnaroo Arts and Music Festival on Sunday.
The 26 years old rapper was twerking on stage in her glittery multi-colored jumpsuit, and then her zip split right from the back. She immediately covered herself up with a bathrobe and kept going.
