Giannis Antetokounmpo has been crowned as MVP at the NBA awards 2019.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, from the Milwaukee Bucks, can’t stop his tear while he was receiving the most prestigious award at the NBA awards, Giannis has been crowned with the NBA’s most valuable player.

After receiving the MVP Antetokounmpo was able to stop his emotions, his tears can clearly show how much this award means to him, and this tough Milwaukee buck’s forward gave a heartwarming speech in the end, that melt the hearts of every person watching him receiving that award. He thanked his father, Charles who died in September 2017, he thanked his coach, friends, and his teammates.

“I want to thank my dad. You know, he’s not here with me. Two years ago, I had the goal in my head that I’m going to be the best player in the league and I’m going to do whatever it takes to help my team win, and I’m going to win the MVP,” he said.

Rookie of the year

Luka Dončić receives the award for as the rookie of the year at the NBA 2019 awards.

The Dallas Mavericks guard, a Slovenia native, is the only rookie of the year who didn’t play basketball in school and college in the United States and joined Spain’s pau, Gasol in 2002. Before joining mavericks, Dončić also joined
Jason Kidd in 1995 as the only Maverick player to win Rookie of the year.

Defensive player of the year.

The best defender of the league Robert Gobert again won the best defensive player of the year for the second time in a row.

From the Utah Jazz centre, Mark Eaton was the first one to win this award twice in 1985 and then in 1989. And now Robert Gobert is the second centre to win this award for the second time straight.

Lifetime Achievement Award.

Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Larry Bird accept the Lifetime Achievement Award onstage, during 2019 NBA awards.

The fantastic thing about this award is that the duo was on the opposite side of the most heated rivalries and duked it out in NBA supremacy in several seasons in the 1980s.

Both Johnson and Bird stated the State of the basketball today.
“It’s just amazing how these guys are playing the game today. I couldn’t be more proud of them. The game’s in a good place,” Bird said, adding some advice to young players: “Keep the game the way they found it, and it’ll go on for generations.”
