Wonder Woman 1984 has revealed its official poster after an initial delay. Patty Jenkins, the movie’s director, shared the poster after a banner for the movie was spotted at Licensing Expo. It seems like DCEU’s highly anticipated movie has already been mired in controversy even before it’s release.
Fans have been left in the dark about Warner Brothers plans about Wonder Woman 1984. It has been confirmed that the Hall H of San Diego’s Comic-Con won’t host Warner Brothers. Both DC and Marvel have been traditionally known to reveal details about their upcoming movies at Comic-Con.
Warner Brother’s absence would mean that fans would have to wait for the official trailer. Patty Jenkins took to Twitter to confirm the reports surrounding Wonder Woman 1984. Besides, sharing the poster, Jenkins assured fans of the movie.
“By now you’ve heard: WB isn’t going to Hall H this year. We’re so sad to miss you there! And waiting until Dec. to start our official #WW84 campaign in full, But the truth is… we can just… barely… wait…” Jenkins captioned the post.
The poster for Wonder Woman 1984 has a 80s feel to it. It has Gal Gadot in a new costume at the helm amidst a hue of several colours. Wonder Woman’s new suit is a golden armour. The makers seems to have ditched the classic look for the new movie. The poster is covered in shades of blue, bright pink, purple and green.
Gal Gadot also shared the poster for Wonder Woman 1984 on her Twitter handle. “I cannot wait to share #WW84 with you all!! Until then we thought you might want to see this.. ” she captioned the picture.
Wonder Woman, released in 2017, was a massive hit. Warner Brothers set to work on Wonder Woman 1984 after the audience’s response. The movie is slated to release in June 4th, 2020.
