A Father Killed his 19 Year-Old Daughter Because she was a Transgender

It is a saying that a father loves his daughter above everything, but on the past Saturday, a father killed his 19-year-old daughter just because she admitted herself what she was, a transgender. 

In Pakistan, 19 years old girl, Maya left her home because she was a transgender, and she was scared that her family would commit violence over her for being a transgender.

Later on, her father Aurangzeb Akbar went to the police station for finding her daughter and then Maya told the whole incident to the police and asked the police for her safety assurance that her father would not harm her if she returned home. 

Then,  Akbar assured the police authorities in writing that he would not harm Maya, and he would not hurt her in any way. 

According to the police authorities that Akbar was upset about her daughter being transgender.

After several hours, she was found dead near a river in her hometown, Nowshera only. 

On Sunday, police made an announcement that Akbar had been arrested for killing his daughter. 

According to the police, other persons might also be involved in the murder, and they are investigating the other suspects. 

Now, Transgender activists are planning to protest against these kinds of murder in Peshawar.
