The “today” show host Jenna Bush and her husband Henry Hager welcomed their 3rd child and first son on Friday, August 2. They are already parents to two daughters, Mila, 6, and poppy, 3.
“Welcome to the world, my darling Henry Harold “Hal” Hager! He came into the world Friday, August 2 at 9:02 am, and our life has never been sweeter”. The now a mom of 3 children posted on Instagram on Monday.
The baby was at 7 pounds, 5 ounces, and measured 19.3 inches long. He is the first grandson for both sides of the family.
The story behind his name
Their baby boy is named Harold, Jenna told her co-anchors over the phone on Monday. “We weren’t exactly sure about the name,” she admitted. “Then his big sisters called him ‘Hal Pal,’ and we thought this is just perfect.” She opened up about her son’s name when she called into today on Monday morning. “I have a new baby boy. Henry and I met our little boy on Friday morning.” His name is Henry Herald, named after my grandpa, and henry for my husband. And we will call him Hal
“Our world has become sweeter.”

In the pictures shared by Jenna Bush Hager, their two daughters were seen meeting their little baby brother for the first time.“And our world made even sweeter when our girls met their baby brother.” She captioned the post. Also greeting the newborn were proud grandparents, former President George W. Bush, and old first lady Laura Bush.
“I feel good, I feel happy.” She told about how she was doing after her C-section. “I think when you’re holed up in a hospital room with a newborn, and you see the joy and the light in his eyes.” You realize this is what life is for- to make the world better for our little babes.
