Denver, Colorado: Fire Fighters from Denver Fire Department are battling a fire that broke out after an explosion at the Santa Fe Drive on Friday.
It is not clear when the fire broke out in the neighbourhood but after a gas explosion was reported at around 4:43 am, Fire Crews from Denver Fire Department rushed to the scene.
Denver FD has closed the Northbound Santa Fe and has asked drivers to take an alternate route.
Denver FD has cleared the house and reported that the house was empty. at the time of the explosion
Incidentally, this is the same location where another fire incident occurred in August 2018. In that incident, 9 people were severely injured, one of whom was in critical condition but there were no reported casualties in that incident.
A 56-year-old ex-handyman named Todd Norman Perkins who arrested in relation to first-degree arson and attempted first-degree murder. Perkins is still in custody with his preliminary hearing date scheduled for May 8.
