Horizon Zero Dawn was a hit when it was launched in 2017 as a PS4 exclusive title. The fantasy esk setting combined with great visuals and smooth gameplay made Horizon Zero Dawn one of the most talked about and well-received game of 2017.
And since then fans have been waiting for an announcement for Horizon Zero Dawn 2 from its developers, Guerrilla Games. Although Guerrilla Games haven’t released much information whether a sequel is in development or not there is another source that might have accidentally confirmed that Horizon Zero Dawn 2 is in development.
Actress Janina Gavankar, who voiced Tatai in The Frozen Wilds DLC Horizon Zero Dawn said in a conversation with one of her fans at the Star Wars Celebration that “It’s incredible. Just wait ’til you see the sequel, you’re gonna die. I know some secrets, you’re gonna die,” when she was about whether a Horizon Zero Dawn 2 is in development.
Well if we go with what she had just said then she pretty much confirmed it that a Horizon Zero Dawn sequel is definitely coming. But in order to be certain there is another piece of information that also backs up this confirmation. That information comes from a developer based in the UK on a Pastebin post. According to him, Guerrilla Games is working on Horizon Zero Dawn 2 and this time they will be using the Decima Engine and yes this is the same engine that Hideo Kojima’s infamous Death Stranding is using. The post also adds that Guerrilla Games is looking forward to releasing Horizon Zero Dawn 2 in 2021.
So, yes all Horizon Zero Dawn could now rejoice as it is pretty much confirmed that a sequel to your beloved game is definitely coming even though Guerrilla Games isn’t saying much about it.
