The live action movie of ‘The Little Mermaid’ is finally in action through most of the characters have not got their proper actors.
There were reports that Melissa McCarthy, who is famous for her roles in the movies like Ghostbusters and Spy, is in talks to play Ursula. Till now, there has been no confirmation regarding whether she will play the villainous character in Disney’s live-action remake or not.
It is also said that Awkwafina and Jacob Tremblay will play the role of Scuttle and Flounder’s character. Awkwafina is famous for her roles in Crazy Rich Asians, Jumanji: The Next Level and Ocean’s 8.
These two characters will be major as they are the best friend of Ariel’s, the lead. But the lead character has not been confirmed yet. Fans wanted Zendaya or Ariana as the lead. Also, Zendaya is open for the role.
Rob Marshall will direct the movie. It will be his fourth movie in collaboration with Disney. Other being Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011), Into the Woods (2014), and Mary Poppins Returns (2018).
