It has been almost 5 years that we have not seen a sequel to Edge of Tomorrow or in other worlds Live. Die. Repeat. But you will be happy to know that the movie is finally making progress.
Edge of Tomorrow is a 2014 American science fiction action film starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. It has been confirmed that both the actors will respire their role. Also, a third character was teased, which would play a crucial role in the storyline.
Doug Liman, Director of both movies, said, “We can do way more focus on Tom’s character and Emily Blunt’s character, and there’s a third character in the sequel that’s going to, for sure, steal the movie,” The actor for this new character is not revealed yet.
It is announced that the upcoming movie will be the last movie in the franchise, making it a two-movie franchise. Also, it has been confirmed that the movie will be a prequel to Edge of Tomorrow.
“I had these intellectual ideas on how you should make a sequel that is unlike how anybody else makes a sequel, and this script and this idea fit perfectly into that idea,” said Liman. He had also announced that the film would “revolutionize how people make sequels.” If this thing is legit, then it will undoubtedly change the film industry.
This year in March, it was announced that Matthew Robinson would rewrite the screenplay which was earlier written by Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse.
No trailer or teaser has been released till now. This is because the movie is in the pre-production stage. So we will not be able to see it any time soon.
