R.I.P Cassius’s Philippe Zdar who Fell from an old Paris Building, Shocking Death

The world of music has been a witness to the super genius of Philippe Zdar. In the French Touch sound and electronic music, he is a very well known name, and he has worked with big names in his careers such as The Beastie Boys, Fatboy Slim, and Fedde Le Grand.

The French DJ and producer was the founder of the dance music duo Cassius in 1989. He also worked with Kayne West in a Cassius inspired song, Why I Love You.

Shocking Death

This great musician left the world of music, mourning with his sudden death. The 52-year-old DJ and producer has died. His agent confirmed the news about his accidental fall from “a high floor of an old Paris building.”

Still Can’t Believe

His friends and colleagues from the music world have still not got over this shocking death as yet. Certainly, the music industry suffered a great loss with the death of this incredible DJ. People are mourning all over, and Twitter is filled with sad comments from everyone.

Messages have been pouring in since the news of his death. Eminent personalities such as Alex Kapranos from Franz Ferdinand, DJ Calvin Harris, and Rostam Batmanglij expressed their grief for this great musician. They also mentioned how Zdar had been an inspiration to them as a musician.

Cassius

Philippe or Cerboneschi, his real name formed Cassius with Hubert Blanc-Francard who is also known as Boombass. Cassius’s latest album Dreems is set to release this Friday, June 21. They had quite a few singles to their credits which became a major hit such as La Mouche, The Sound of Violence and I Love You So. The duo was about to release Dreems after many years of their first collaboration.

Zdar, the Great DJ

Zdar’s contribution to French music is excellent. Zdar also did solo production, which earned him a great reputation. He worked with Phoenix, the French soft rock group in their 2009 breakout album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. For this, he won the Grammy award for Best Alternative Music album in 2010.

Zdar’s death is a terrible loss for his family as well as his fans.
