Strangers Things stars Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton began making headlines back in 2016 when Strangers Things Season 1 came out. But, now it’s confirmed. The on-screen couple (well, now) are also dating in real life!

The Early Rumours
Fans were shipping these co-stars long before they became a couple. On the hit show Stranger Things, Dyer plays Nancy Wheeler, the studious girl learning to let loose. And Heaton plays Jonathan Byers, a social outcast at school and aspiring photographer.
Events involving both their little brothers bring their characters closer on the show and they find their friendship growing. They share some pretty intense scenes together including blowtorching a monster (how romantic). Season 1 even ends with Nancy buying Jonathan a sweet little surprise Christmas present.

Then, in 2017, they attended the 74th Golden Globe Awards together, sending the internet into a frenzy. Later in December 2017, they also attended the swanky Fashion Awards in London, holding hands on the red carpet.

Stranger Things Season 2 saw Nancy and Jonathan share a passionate kiss after Nancy’s breakup with Steve. In a beautiful moment, she realized her feelings for Jonathan.

Ahead of the Stranger Things Season 3 premiere, Dyer spoke to Refinery29. She talked about the advantages of working with her real-life boyfriend on-screen. “It’s an interesting thing to work with somebody who you go home with,” the 22-year-old actress told them. “It’s always really fun. We’re really comfortable with each other, so we can play and feel more free, and we can talk about it before.”
