Confirmed!!! Mary Magdalene’s Stars Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix Are Engaged, Ready To Take Marriage Vows

The couple which was completing its three years of relationship and didn’t want any pressure of husband and wife label on their relationship finally ready for their role as spouses. US Weekly on Sunday gave a kind of confirmation that Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix are engaged now.

The Engagement Confirmation

This came after less than two months of the stir that emerged when the 34-year-old actress spotted with a diamond ring in her left hand. The large ring came into view in May when the ‘Social Network’ star was in Los Angeles carrying a “Go Vegan” bag.

Fans have witnessed the two together in film Mary Magdalene. There Mara portrayed the lead role while Phoenix was playing Jesus. The film allowed them to meet on the set in 2016. After meeting, the couple started dating and in May 2017 made their red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival’s closing ceremony.

The Two Are Living Together

Months later the ‘Joker’ actor revealed that the two are living together in the Hollywood Hills. The revelation came in the New York Times interview. One of the sources in the knowledge told US Weekly that “They don’t like to go out. They mainly just like to be with each other as the two of them. They’re in their bubble.”

Instead of their lone dates, the couple was witnessed enjoying the double date too with Mara’s sister Kate Mara and her husband, Jamie Bell. To this Kate in July 2018 told US Weekly that “[Rooney and I] live in L.A. and the rest of our family is in New York, so we try to see each other as much as possible” She added “We talk about everything personal that you would talk [about] with your close friends, your siblings.”

The Couple Didn’t Felt Like Getting Married

In the same month, a Us Weekly source revealed that the “They(Mara and Phoenix) think marriage is too mainstream.” The source was later quoted as: “Rooney and Phoenix “are so in love,” but don’t feel the pressure to put a husband and wife label on their relationship. “
